Save £200 then Smash it!!
These Terracotta money pots are hand thrown in Italy and hand painted in London. They stand between 16cms and 19cms in height.
History:
These money pots have been traditionally used in Italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown designs have remained unchanged. Examples of which can be seen in the British Museum.
Tradition:
Once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full upon time it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things'. Money Pots are sometimes used to house a candle or a plant once smashed. They bring good fortune. There is a fortune card inside each money pot.
As these pots are hand painted, colours and patterns may differ slightly.
NEW! We can now hand paint your Terramundi Money Pot with a name or short message in your choice of black, silver or gold. So that we can ensure your personalisation will not peel or crack, please be aware that this adds two days to the availability for curing time.
Hand painted results may not appear exactly as below as each Terramundi is painted to order; we are sorry, but we do not currently stock white paint for personalisation.
