Delivery Policy
Q :What are your delivery terms?
A :
We understand that this website will be used to purchase gifts for specific dates, occasions and events. We state the expected delivery period for each product on the website and ask that you tell us the date by which you need the products or services.
 
We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date if you select the following delivery options:
 
Royal Mail First Class - these deliveries take one to three days, but they are not guaranteed next day services.
Royal Mail Second Class - these deliveries can take over three days and we cannot guarantee any specific delivery date.
Newspapers and Bound Books (8-14 Working Days) - These shipments are sent directly from our suppliers, and the 8-14 working days is a guideline they have provided us.
Newspapers and Bound Books Rush Production (5-8 Working Days) - These are also sent directly from our suppliers, and the time scale is a guideline they have provided us.
Delivery Outside the UK - The delivery time for items leaving the UK varies depending on location. Please contact us for a quotation on delivery and an estimated time frame.
Q :What time must I place my order by in order to receive next day delivery?
A :
In order to receive next day delivery on orders that have a "Next Day" availability, you will need to place your order by 3PM of that day.
 
Please note that next day delivery refers to delivery time from despatch - if an item is not available "Next Day - Orders by 3PM" then it will not be despatched on the day of order. If you require an item by a certain date, please mention this when you place your order in the Advance Ordering System box on the Checkout page and we will make our best endeavour to supply your gifts by this date.
 
For items ordered on Friday before 3PM, "Next Day" delivery refers to the next working day, Monday. Saturday delivery can only be arranged if you select Saturday Morning delivery at checkout.
 
We regret that we are currently unable to offer a next day delivery service to Northern Ireland, the Highlands or offshore islands - all deliveries to these locations will be delivered within three working days.
Q :Can you deliver my items on a Sunday or Bank Holiday?
A :
We are unable to arrange courier service to deliver items on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
 
Orders placed on Friday after 3PM, Saturday or Sunday for "next day delivery" will be packed and shipped on the following Monday, for arrival on Tuesday.
 
When there is a public holiday coming up, we will always state our last shipping date for arrival before that holiday - all orders placed after this date and time will be delivered after the holiday. All orders placed during public holidays, such as Bank Holiday weekends, will be shipped on the first possible date after the holidays.
 
Outside holidays, orders with a "Next Day - before 3PM" availability are packed and shipped Monday through Friday, and unless a Saturday delivery is selected at checkout will be delivered on the next available working day.
Q :What is the Advance Ordering System date used for?
A :
We know that gifts are often time sensitive. Because of this, we provide the option for you to tell us that you need your order on or before a certain date when you check out through our online system.
 
When ordering perishable items or in cases where you may be away and unable to take delivery please remember that we will be endeavouring to ship your items on or before the date you specify - if you require an item to be shipped after a specific date, please let us know - e-mail us on info@gifts-2-go.co.uk to let us know when you will be available.
 
Please be aware that the Advance Ordering System is subject to availability and that certain items requiring customisation will take the stated availability time to produce.
Q :What will you do if there's a problem with my delivery?
A :
If there is likely to be a problem with your delivery then we may attempt to contact you, please ensure that the contact details you give are accurate.
Q :What about issues beyond your control?
A :
We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Q :Can I have an order delivered outside the UK?
A :
If you would like to have an order delivered to an address outside the UK, we can do this on a case by case basis. Please e-mail info@gifts-2-go.co.uk or call us on 0845 27 011 27 for a quotation on shipping - the standard shipping prices are only applicable to deliveries within the United Kingdom. We are presently unable to export hampers and products containing alcohol outside the UK.
 
Orders being delivered outside the UK Mainland may be subject to longer delivery times - please select the appropriate delivery option at checkout.
Q :What happens if I am not at home when my items are delivered?
A :
Our courier, City Link, will leave a card at the delivery address stating the time and date they attempted delivery. They will also attempt delivery again the following day. This second attempted delivery will also have a card left with contact details.
 
If you are not available to take either of the attempted deliveries, the following choices are available to you:
  • For no additional cost, you can arrange to collect the item from your local City Link depot.
  • We can arrange a third delivery attempt for a date of your choosing for a total cost of £6.00 - please contact us if this is what you would like to do.

Items will be returned to Gifts 2 Go if alternative arrangements are not made for delivery or collection - in which case the original shipping fee would need to be reapplied before we could send your order out again.
